SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR 5TH GRADE FUN RUN TEAMS
Sugar Creek 5th Graders are great Fun Run leaders!
For several years, Sugar Creek 5th graders have been fantastic leaders by volunteering to help with the Fun Run. They help by making the Fun Run video, choosing Fun Run prizes and pep rally activities, planning race day activities, and helping with a ton of other things that make the Fun Run a success. This year, the pandemic was a huge hurdle, but our 5th grade volunteers stepped up and have been doing so much to help!
This year we had over 40 students sign up to be Fun Run volunteers. Way back in April, they learned about how they could help and signed up to be on one of 4 student Fun Run teams:
- Advertising
- Kickoff/Pep Rally
- Race Day Activities
- Busy Bees
These students came up with fantastic ideas to make the 2020 Fun Run fun despite all the challenges that the pandemic posed. They attended video conference meetings, worked independently, and overcame technology challenges to make the most of the situation.

Fun Run Bulletin board (9/14, 9/17,9/21, 9/28)
Make sure to take a look at the Fun Run progress updates on the bulletin board that our 5th grade Fun Run advertising team made. Every blob of slime is $200 we raised! Mr. Brunner looks pretty scared, because he knows he will be slimed when we reach our goal of $21,000. Keep watching for updates and watch to see Mr. Brunner get more nervous as we raise more money to reach our goal.
A HUGE thank you to the 5th grade Fun Run student leaders
and special thanks to the adult helpers that made it possible for these 5th graders to be Sugar Creek leaders!
